Ingredients :
2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1 lb. peeled and deveined shrimp
sea salt to taste
black pepper to taste
4 tbsp. butter
¼ cup minced shallots
4 garlic cloves minced
1 tbsp. ground turmeric
1 ½ tsp. fish sauce
zest and juice of 1 lime
3 tbsp. finely chopped fresh cilantro
crusty bread (preferably grilled or baked) for serving
𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 :
Step 1 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high.
Step 2 - Pat shrimp dry with a paper towel, and season with salt and black pepper.
Step 3 - Arrange shrimp in skillet, and cook for 2 minutes per side, until just cooked through.
Step 4 - Reduce heat to medium, and transfer shrimp to a plate.
Step 5 - Add butter, shallots, and garlic to pan; cook 2 to 3 minutes, until aromatic.
Step 6 - Stir in turmeric and fish sauce.
Step 7 - Add shrimp back to pan, along with lime zest and juice, and fresh cilantro.
Step 8 - Toss shrimp in sauce until well-coated, and serve with crusty grilled bread.
